How we work with you
Step 1:
Consultation & Needs Assessment
We begin by listening. Our team takes time to understand your equipment, your site conditions, and your goals so we can recommend the best solutions for your operation.
Step 3:
Clear Recommendations & Quote
You’ll receive a detailed report that includes photos, references to the relevant CSA and OHS codes, and clear explanations of what was found. This gives you both the evidence and the assurance you need to make informed decisions.

The family behind the cranes
I’m Bradley Sliedrecht, Operations Manager at Venter Cranes. I started in the crane industry back in 1995 as an apprentice electrician. Over nearly three decades, I’ve grown into roles ranging from senior crane technician to operations manager. Along the way, I became a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright, CWB Welding Supervisor, Certified OHC Trainer, and was awarded a Research Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D).
But what means the most to me is that Venter Cranes is a family venture built on legacy. Today, I’m proud to work alongside our next generation, passing on not just the expertise – but the values – of safety, reliability, and warm, straightforward service. That’s the Venter promise.
What Customers Say
“One of the best companies I have had the pleasure of working with. Excellent communication, great follow ups, extensive technical knowledge, and skills from your techs and just amazing how your guys explain the issues, potential solutions. Couldn’t have asked for a better partner for our needs. Smooth process. All it takes is one text, call, or email to Calum or Brad and I can be assured that I will be taken care of without having to call a second time. I don’t have to worry about anything, you guys send out a reminder about our yearly inspections and once you guys have fixed an issue; I never had to worry about it reoccurring a second time. Overall, you guys are very good at what you do, and I believe where you set yourself apart from others is the care you show and due diligence you do. You and your company give us a peace of mind with how we are treated, we feel that you have our best interests in mind every time we deal with you.“
Jag
Steel Processing Facility Manager, Saskatoon
“Very knowledgeable, good communication, great experience. For every challenge and emergency, Venter has delivered results. The process is straightforward, and Venter provides great feedback to help determine immediate repairs required vs long-term repairs that might affect availability of the crane. First company that I’ve worked with that really knows the cranes inside and out. After inspection we know the true condition of our cranes and what work needs to be completed for reliable operation.”
Matt
Project Manager, Potash Operations
“Working with Venter Cranes feels reliable, trustworthy and fair. Positive changes are noticed. Equipment inspections typically find small issues before they become large. When repair work is needed, it is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Very few if any call backs are required once work is completed.”
Logan
Industrial Repair Foreman, Saskatoon
“Venter does their best to react as quickly as possible—especially when a crane is out of service, which is very important to our business. The process is very smooth: Venter says what they’re going to do, when they’ll arrive, and they do what they say. Since choosing Venter as our preferred supplier, we have less downtime. They are dependable and always respond as quickly as possible to our concerns.”
